After losing my brother to an overdose in 2022 and my father in 2023, this book has really helped me find a way forward and learn that it's ok to have boundaries。 After losing my brother to an overdose in 2022 and my father in 2023, this book has really helped me find a way forward and learn that it's ok to have boundaries。 。。。more

Yung Pueblo is one of my favorite poets。 He writes so beautifully and every word in this book brought me much inspiration and hope。 Reading his poetry is like being embraced by a good friend。 His words are uplifting, soothing, and empowering。 He is truly gifted and I am grateful that he shares his beautiful work with us。

4。5 stars。 I have read and loved all of yung pueblo’s work; this book was no exception。 His themes on presence, gratitude, inner acceptance deeply resonates with me and serves as a reminder that nothing bad is permanent。 There were specific pages in this book that I’ve marked and re read daily。 The only reason this is not a 5 for me is because it’s not my favorite of his work。 Not because of his writing, but because of where I am in life when I read this, vs where I was when I read some of his o 4。5 stars。 I have read and loved all of yung pueblo’s work; this book was no exception。 His themes on presence, gratitude, inner acceptance deeply resonates with me and serves as a reminder that nothing bad is permanent。 There were specific pages in this book that I’ve marked and re read daily。 The only reason this is not a 5 for me is because it’s not my favorite of his work。 Not because of his writing, but because of where I am in life when I read this, vs where I was when I read some of his other books。 Highly recommend this one, even if you think poetry is not your thing! 。。。more

Another phenomenal collection of high consciousness poetry by Yung Pueblo (aka Diego Perez)—my favourite yet! 🥰

Perhaps my favorite of his four books。 So many passages resonate。。 the power of self love。 Section on confidence。 Amazing the wisdom in one so young… and so much to resonate with any human。

This is the third book in Yung Pueblo's self-help poetry series。 It was the most relationship centric book of the series which was timely for my current situation (re re breakup at this point sorry)。 He has some really interesting parallels across relationships with self, friends, and romantic partners。 I felt myself becoming more emotionally mature as I read this series。 It was like a year of therapy in written format。 I will never stop re-reading these books。 There is a great essay "on change" This is the third book in Yung Pueblo's self-help poetry series。 It was the most relationship centric book of the series which was timely for my current situation (re re breakup at this point sorry)。 He has some really interesting parallels across relationships with self, friends, and romantic partners。 I felt myself becoming more emotionally mature as I read this series。 It was like a year of therapy in written format。 I will never stop re-reading these books。 There is a great essay "on change" that I found particularly helpful and insightful。 "if was not time that healed you, it was your courage to feel everything you used to run from / being with yourself and meeting your tension is hard, but is the only way to release what has been bottled up inside of you / your pain was simply asking for your attention" 。。。more

Yung Pueblo does it again。 This last book of his collection seamlessly picks up where the last 3 left off。 It’s a journey of self healing from the first book to enjoying the present and looking towards the future in this one。 Quick read that I will refer back to since the pages are filled with thoughtful perspectives and motivational musings throughout。

¿Who better than Yung Pueblo to explain the meaning of the personal inner work that many of us find ourselves in? Diego Perez, in his new book “The Way Forward”, once again delights us with his poetic prose and on this occasion, he gently details the stages of the internal healing process。 I highlight the ability of the author to bring to paper the depth of his own personal work to the point that the reader can identify with the process, taking us to the moment of healing of the wound, that mome ¿Who better than Yung Pueblo to explain the meaning of the personal inner work that many of us find ourselves in? Beautifully written and wiseOf the 3 books in trilogy this is my favourite。 The articulates his thoughts in such a simple way。 “creating boundaries is a proactive way of designing your life” is just on example of how beautifully he captures his thoughts。 Highly recommend

Balm for my soul during these seemingly dystopian times。 I will re-read often。 Diego’s words always have a way of feeling so profound but accessible。 Potent yet simple。 The way forward… the only way。

Really enjoyed this one! I do feel like most of his books are the same over and over but I personally feel like it’s kind of an affirmation book that I really enjoy rereading to keep me…moving forward hehe

Love love Love Love! A book you pick up and read the whole thing or a page at a time。 Same impact。 Love it! Going to be a bedside book for awhile now!

I do have to say that this is my favorite book that the author has written, his other books are good but this one in terms of wisdom and motivation is spot on 。 It’s a very calming book。Edit Review

I loved the audiobook so much I ordered the paperback immediately after finishing。 ❤️ I can’t wait to highlight my favorite parts。His last book, Lighter, felt like it changed my life last year so I have been really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint。His words take the chaos of feelings, thoughts, and emotions in my adhd brain and lays them out in clear, concise, and direct passages。 I appreciate this way of writing sometimes over authors who make you read between the lines。 In I loved the audiobook so much I ordered the paperback immediately after finishing。 ❤️ I can’t wait to highlight my favorite parts。His last book, Lighter, felt like it changed my life last year so I have been really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint。His words take the chaos of feelings, thoughts, and emotions in my adhd brain and lays them out in clear, concise, and direct passages。 I appreciate this way of writing sometimes over authors who make you read between the lines。 In a way, it feels like accessibility。 Like I can get the insightful content my heart desires in a way that hits home instead of leaving me confused and guessing interpretation。 Yung Pueblo’s words have gotten me through hard times。 His words and ideas aren’t new, but feel like safety and reassurance。 This book is a reminder to be my authentic self and to stay grounded on the path I set for myself。 To meet myself with compassion and gentleness。 I will always recommend his books。“Don’t let craving make you forget you’re already whole。” 。。。more
